Denver, CO – Today, Principles of Liberty (POL) announced that Chelsea Spencer will join the non-profit organization as Executive Director starting Wednesday, January 13. Principles of Liberty is committed to educating, training, and empowering Coloradans throughout the state to advance principles of good government in public policy at the state level.
Mrs. Spencer graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hillsdale College in 2015 with a double-major in Politics and Spanish. During her undergradu
ate studies at Hillsdale College she was the recipient of the prestigious Presidential Scholarship, awarded the George Washington Fellowship for Statesmanship
, held office as President of the Hillsdale College Firearms Club, was a member of the Rho Gamma chapter of Chi Omega Sorority, studied abroad in Seville, Spain, and worked in Washington DC as an intern at the Heritage Foundation.
Richard Bratten, Founder and CEO of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was very enthusiastic, saying, “This is another great step forward for Principles of Liberty. We’re excited to bring someone of Chelsea’s caliber on board as our first Executive Director. She’s wicked smart, professional, and she’s terrific at working with people. I look forward to seeing her lead POL forward this year.”
Mr. Bratten said that he will remain active in the organization, overseeing the legislative analysis work and continuing to develop POL’s proprietary database and analysis capabilities. Mrs. Spencer will oversee the day to day operations of POL including legislative analysis, working with interns in POL’s soon-to-be-announced Internship Program, coordinating volunteers, and interacting with legislators and others to understand the nuances of proposed legislation.

Principles of Liberty Colorado is a coalition of persons dedicated to liberty and government’s role in protecting and preserving that liberty.
