Updated Ratings through May 6

Thanks to our staff and interns, the data continues to accumulate. All scores are updated for committee and floor votes through Monday 5-6-16. There are a number of bills that were crammed through so fast last week that they were voted on before POL put out ratings, so while we have recorded the legislator’s votes on those bills, we will not input our ratings on those bills until tomorrow once our latest analysis is complete and published tomorrow morning. We will endeavor to update scores down the stretch of this final week of the legislature (barring any unfortunate circumstances).

In the Senate, Senator Vicki Marble remains at #1, with Senator Tim Neville in second. Senator Sonnenberg has moved into third, with Senators Holbert and Baumgardner rounding out the top 5. All have POL scores of B+ or better to date.

On the House side, there are still seven legislators with A+ scores, 4 A’s and an A- rounding out the top tier of 12 legislators. Reps Neville and Everett continue to battle for #1, while Ransom, Humphrey, Saine, Leonard and Buck round out the A+ scores. Reps Vanwinkle, Joshi, Klingenschmitt, and Navarro all have A’a and Rep Nordberg still holds his A-.

That’s a lot of data, a lot of votes, and a lot of bill analysis. To score 80% or better is a pretty good track record in our book. 90%’s are exceptional.
